Competition description
GENERAL REGULATIONS
a) SIEP is open to all photographers throughout the world. It will be conducted in accordance with FIAP, PSA, RPS and
APS requirements.
b) Each entrant may submit a maximum of four images in each of the following four sections:
• ELECTRONIC (DIGITAL) COLOR --- PSA CPID Recognition
• ELECTRONIC (DIGITAL) MONOCHROME --- PSA CPID Recognition
• ELECTRONIC (DIGITAL) ALTERED REALITY (Color or Monochrome) --- PSA CPID Recognition
• ELECTRONIC (DIGITAL) NATURE (Color or Monochrome) --- PSA Nature Division Recognition
c) Substantially similar images may not be entered in more than one section in any one year.
d) By submitting an entry into the SIEP, the entrant certifies the work as their own and permits the organizers to reproduce
all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication in a catalogue, on internet website and/or in other media
related to the SIEP.
e) All aspects of every image MUST be the total and exclusive work of the submitting photographer and may not include
any element that was originated by or is the copyright of other photographers.
f) The use of clip-art or elements from stock photography is not permitted.
g) Entries must be made by the entrant and originate as photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity). Images
may be acquired digitally, or scanned from traditional film to create a digital file. Any modification of the original image
must be made by the entrant.
h) The image file format is to be JPEG and the maximum dimensions (including any borders) are to be 1400 pixels wide
(horizontal axis) and 1050 pixels high (vertical axis) at 72ppi and saved as JPEG max level 9, producing a file of
maximum size 800KB. Images smaller than 1400 pixels wide and 1050 pixels high are acceptable but will appear smaller
when projected. Please check all image sizes before submission, images with sizes greater than detailed above will be
rejected.
i) An entrants four images will be distributed throughout four rounds of judging.
j) Work that has previously gained acceptance in this exhibition, or work almost identical in style and subject
matter is not eligible for resubmission.
k) Images may be altered, either electronically or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the
entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates. SUBJECT TO DIVISIONAL RESTRICTIONS.
l) AWARDS – each entry may only win one award.
m) Images entered in the Nature Section MUST comply with BOTH the PSA & FIAP Definitions. Images failing to do so
will not be judged.
