Competition description

(a) Prints in monochrome or colour may be entered (b) Prints sent from the United Kingdom may be MOUNTED or UNMOUNTED with a maximum unmounted size of A3 (42cm x 30cm) and mounted size of 50cm x 40cm. Print title and name and address of entrant must appear on the back of each print. (c) Not more than FOUR PRINTS in monochrome and FOUR PRINTS in colour may be submitted by any one entrant. They must be numbered to agree with the Entry Form.

2. OVERSEAS ENTRIES

Prints from overseas MUST be sent UNMOUNTED with a maximum unmounted size of A3 (42cm x 30cm) . All packages must be clearly marked on the outside “Photographs for Exhibition Only; no commercial value; to be returned to sender”. Prints should preferably be sent “Printed Matter” rate. Air Freight packages cannot be accepted. Packages should not weigh more than 2 Kg. If prints are to be returned to the sender, 12 “International Reply Coupons” (IRCs) per section entered must be sent to cover the cost of return postage

3. FEES

Only sterling cheques, or currency notes in Pounds Sterling, US Dollars or Euros, are accepted. Foreign cheques or money orders are not accepted. Payment by 'Paypal' now possible - for details see our website www.edinburghphotographicsociety.co.uk. (a) An entry fee of £8 (US$13, €9) plus return postage will be payable by entrants for either section or £11 (US$18, €13) for both sections, which will include one copy of the catalogue. (b) Collective club entries (minimum 4 entrants) will be accepted at the rate of £1, (US$2, €1) per print provided there is a minimum entry fee payment of £11 (US$18 €13).

4. ENTRY FORMS, FEES AND PARCELS These must reach the Edinburgh Photographic Society, PO Box 137, Edinburgh, EH3 6QX, SCOTLAND, not later than 17th June, 2011. Please enclose your entry forms and fees with your prints and ensure that your prints are adequately packed. Only entries sent to this address will be accepted. Entries received without the appropriate fee, or paid with foreign cheques or money orders, will not be accepted or returned and no catalogue will be sent. If prints are to be returned to the sender appropriate UK postage or 12 “International Reply Coupons” (IRCs) per section entered must be included to cover the cost of return postage. 5. DAMAGE OR LOSS While the greatest care will be taken of entries the Society cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage..

6. REPRODUCTION

Unless otherwise stated in writing, permission to reproduce in connection with publicising or promoting the Exhibition is presumed.

7. DATA STORAGE

As a condition of entry, it is presumed that permission is given to store information from the entry
