Competition description
PARTICIPANTS: Amateur and professional photographers from all around the world.
TITLE: “A World for All: Overcoming Disabilities”.
The aim of this contest is to show the reality of people with some kind of disability. The photographer should show everyday situations, which are not so different from the rest of the people, and capture the lights and shadows of the people with a disability, regardless of the part of the world they live in. Each photographer is intended to express his/her own point of view about the disability, in order to get a sample of what the disability represents all over the world.
PARTICIPATION RIGHTS: The entry to this contest
is free.
Size and presentation_
All images should be in a 72 dpi JPG format, 1024 pixels on the horizontal or 768 pixels on the vertical. The sRGB colour space is recommended. Files cannot be over 800 Kb.
We also ask for the same files in high resolution (4000 pixels on the
longest side of a 254 dpi JPG format in sRGB or Adobe 1998 colour space) in order to print the works for the catalogue and the exhibition max. 5 Mg

PARTICIPANTES: Aficionados y profesionales de todo el mundo.
TEMA: “Un mundo para todos: Superación de las discapacidades”.
El objetivo de éste certamen es mostrar la realidad de las personas con algún
tipo de discapacidad y que el fotógrafo plasme las situaciones cotidianas y no
tan diferentes, del resto de las personas. Que el fotógrafo sepa captar las luces
y las sombras de las personas con discapacidad, independientemente del lugar
del mundo donde viva. También pretendemos que cada fotógrafo nos transmita
su visión particular de la discapacidad, obteniendo así un relato de lo que
representa la discapacidad en cada rincón del mundo.
DERECHOS DE PARTICIPACIÓN: Libre. El concurso no devengará derechos de inscripción.
Tamaño y presentación_
En formato JPG a 72 dpi., 1.024 píxels de largo, si el formato es
horizontal, o 768 píxels de alto, si el formato es vertical. Recomendamos que el espacio de color sea sRGB. Ningún archivo puede
superar los 800 Kb.
También se solicita el mismo archivo en alta resolución para imprimir las obras de la exposición y el catálogo, al tamaño de 4000 pixels por el lado más largo en JPG a 254 ppp en espacio de color sRGB o Adobe 1998 max 5 Mg.

A travelling exhibition will be organized with a selection of the best works.

Admisión de obras: Desde el 17 de septiembre hasta el día 30 de noviembre de 2012.
Fallo del jurado: 31 de Diciembre 2012.
A cada autor se le enviará una notificación individual de sus resultados antes del 15 de Enero de 2013.
Se editará, antes del 1 de Abril de 2013, un catálogo con una selección de las mejores obras presentadas.
Se realizará una exposición itinerante con una selección de las mejores obras.
El listado de trabajos premiados será publicado en la página web: www.oncefoto.es

Prizes

There will be three prizes. Furthermore, the Organization is considering the possibility of awarding two consolation prizes (one for the best photograph taken by a member of ONCE and the other one for the photograph taken by a disabled person who does not belong to ONCE).
First prize:
€ 1,500, FIAP’s (Federación Internacional de Arte Fotográfico) and CEF’s (Confederación Española de Fotografía)Gold Medal.
Second prize:
€ 750, FIAP’s and CEF’s silver medal.
Third prize:
€ 350, FIAP’s bronze medal.
Two consolation prizes:
€ 350 each, plus CEF’s bronze medal.
To each winner of the prize amount indicated will be withheld for the percentage according to the law.
Credentials of disability or ONCE membership will be asked to the winners of the consolation prizes, if necessary.
A trophy donated by the “Sociedad Fotográfica de Gipuzkoa” in San Sebastián will be given to each of the five winners.
The best classified photographer from the Basque Country will receive a trophy from the “Federación de Agrupaciones Fotográficas del País Vasco” (designed by a craftsman/woman).
The winners will receive one point each that will count for obtaining CEF’s honorific distinctions.
The winners who are resident in the Basque Country will be invited to participate in the Argizaiola Trophy by FAFPV.
Each contestant will be eligible to only one prize.

Se concederán tres premios. Además de éstos la Organización contempla otorgar dos accésits: uno a la mejor fotografía realizada por una persona afiliada a la ONCE; y otro a una persona con discapacidad y no afiliada a la ONCE.
Primer premio:
1.500 €, medalla de oro de la FIAP (Federación Internacional de Arte Fotográfico) y de la CEF (Confederación Española de Fotografía).
Segundo premio:
750 €, medalla de plata de la FIAP y de la CEF.
Tercer premio:
350 €, medalla de bronce de la FIAP.
2 accésits:
350 €/cada uno y medalla de bronce de la CEF.
A cada premiado se le retendrá el porcentaje correspondiente del premio, según las leyes nacionales.
A los ganadores de los accésits se les solicitarán las acreditaciones de ser afiliado a la ONCE o personas con discapacidad si es el caso.
Los cinco concursantes premiados recibirán, igualmente, un trofeo donado por la Sociedad Fotográfica de Gipuzkoa de San Sebastián.
El fotógrafo mejor clasificado del País Vasco recibirá un trofeo de la Federación de Agrupaciones Fotográficas del País Vasco (diseñado por un artesano). Los premiados recibirán un punto, válido para la obtención de las distinciones honoríficas de la CEF.
Los premiados residentes en el País Vasco serán invitados por la FAFPV a participar en el Trofeo Argizaiola.
Los concursantes sólo podrán optar a un premio.
Jury
The members of the jury will be appointed by ONCE, the “Federacion
de Agrupaciones Fotograficas del País Vasco” and the “Sociedad
Fotográfica de Gipuzkoa”, all of them of renowned prestige in
the photographic field. The decision shall be unquestionable.
